Affordable Housing & Homeownership
The vision: Building a Northside where everyone can afford to stay.

Economic Development & Youth Opportunity
The vision: Growing the Northside’s economy from the ground up.
Carmella is pushing for 'synchronized growth'—ensuring that as new businesses arrive, our infrastructure and workforce are ready to benefit.
Proven Record: Championing the first Tax Incremental District (TID) on the Northside to attract businesses and grow the commercial tax base, easing the burden on homeowners.
Future Focus: Demanding union labor for city-funded developments and expanding youth apprenticeship programs in the trades and entrepreneurship.
The "Why": A thriving community requires good-paying jobs and clear paths for our young people to build long-term wealth right here at home.
Infrastructure & Community Spaces
The vision: Investing in the places where we gather and grow.
From our parks to our bus stops, our physical environment should reflect the value of our community.
Proven Record: Supported the $10 million Warner Park Community Recreation Center expansion, providing vital space for youth programming and neighborhood gatherings.
Future Focus: Prioritizing safe transportation, improved neighborhood connectivity, and transit routes that make the Northside more accessible for everyone.
The "Why": Quality services—like reliable leaf collection, stormwater management, and vibrant green spaces—are the hallmarks of a well-cared-for district.
